All he wants is his freedom. But that’s not what’s on offer…

For three years, Gerald has used his connections to gather intelligence on the powerful alien species humans call “wolves”—all in an effort to do his part to return order to the world after the destruction caused by the events of the first wolves’ heat.

Now he’s been caught—and there’s only one way to earn forgiveness for his crimes and save the treaty between his people and the technologically superior wolves Submit and let one of them claim him as a mate.

It’s a hell of a blow when all he wants is his freedom. He just has to hope the wolf who claims him will be reasonable about letting him go after heat season. Anything else and he can kiss his freedom goodbye for good.

Of course, now he’s just tempting fate...

I found this book to be confusing. First of all, I didn't like Gerald that much as the MC. I felt his character was a bit unlikeable. I never got a feel for Tanis at all. Since the whole book was written from Gerald's perspective, I never understood Tanis or his motives. Then there was all the 'submitting' going on. It got tedious.

The plot of this book made no sense to me. Tanis kept Gerald in the dark throughout most of the book. Since Gerald was in the dark, so were we as the reader. Even when the whole plot was revealed, I was still confused and not sure what exactly happened. Also, Gerald's big turnaround at the end just wasn't believable. I have a feeling this book would have made more sense to me if it hadn't been so long since I read the rest of the series. Hopefully, if the author continues the series I'll understand it better than I did this one.

Gerald Lot Wolves' Heat Volume 7 Odessa Lynne Books Reviews

This is a good book. I have read and enjoyed every book in this series, my only real comment is more! Gimme more
I liked it but I'm still not quite sure what Gerald was doing and for who. I look forward to the next in the series. 3.5 stars rounded up.
I have read almost all the books and they keep getting better and better
I loved this one just like I loved all the others. It would have been cool to see Sunny put into a few precarious situations that had been threatened at the den but I was still happy with it.
I love this writer and this series is my absolute favorite!!!! Anyone saying otherwise are either jealously of her talent or simply blind...So keep 'em coming Miss Lynne.
More sex than substance in this book. Although I've enjoyed others in this series, for me, Gerald's Lot was a chore to finish. So many wolves and people were submitting to each other the wolves' heat season dynamics seemed like kind of a mess, and I did a lot of skimming through all the submitting. Three other wolves join MCs in bed - not because of romance but simply because of pack dynamics. Even the wolves didn't seem to like the biological imperatives and social structure making them sexual partners. I like menage but not when the sex is simply circumstance-driven without any personal investment by the characters. Gerald and his alpha literally spend days in this book doing nothing but sex and eating. How does a relationship manage to develop with so much lust and so little emotional sharing -- but unbelievably it does. The alpha kept so much so close to his chest, Gerald were left in the dark as far what was really going on and the action for most of the book. Lynne is a good writer, but this time she gave me no reason to care about what was happening to the MCs. The saving grace of the book was Gerald's feisty personality which was a treat to read. Unfortunately, his lot was to be relegated primarily to an object of lust .
4.0 stars. I love this series, but for some reason this wasn't my favorite of the bunch. I think I had expectations of what this book would be and when it turned out to be a little different than that, I was somewhat disappointed. I still thought it was a good book and I'm still completely invested in the series and can't wait to see what happens in the next books.
